What you'll need

Suggested fabrics

You can sew this top as swimwear — use biflex fabric. For a light summer top instead, choose a light-weight cotton lycra jersey.

Use a serger (overlock) to sew it. If you don't have a serger, replace it with a stretch stitch or zigzag stitch on your sewing machine. Use rubber elastic when sewing the swimwear version.

Also needed

  • Rubber elastic (for the swimwear version)
  • Threads to match the fabric
  • Baste details together before stitching to avoid displacement of the upper fabric
