Step by step

Description of tailoring

6 steps in two stages, from the inseam to the waistband.

Legs and hem

3 steps
  1. 1

Fold the Main piece in half with the right side and pin along inseam. Serge. Press.

  2. 2

Turn one leg piece to the right side. Insert it to another one with the right side together, aligning the notches. Serge along the crotch line. Press.

  3. 3

Fold the bottom hem of the leggings and stitch using a Twin needle. Press.

Waistband

3 steps
  1. 4

Stitch the short edges of the elastic together.

  2. 5

Divide the elastic into four equal sections. Pin elastic to the wrong side of the garment, to the waistline. Serge the raw upper edge to the elastic.

  3. 6

Turn the elastic inwards, to the wrong side of the garment and pin. Sew in place using a Twin needle. Press.
