Cut from a stretchy knit or fleece, with thin jersey for the lining, this pattern is sized 1 to 9 years.
For sewing a hat, we recommend using knit fabrics that have good stretch. Fleece is also suitable.
Use thin jersey for the lining.

Pattern pieces already include a 0.7 cm (0.27") seam allowance for all edges. The fabric use does not include possible shrinkage — please account for shrinkage and buy 5–10% more than required.

Place the top of the hat and lining of the hat right sides together, pin and stitch on the overlock.
Stitch the center seam using an overlock, leaving an opening for turning. Press the seam.
Stitch the darts on the front with an overlock, press and ease the fullness.
Stitch the rounded edges of the beanie with an overlock, and press the seams.
Turn the beanie right side out through the opening, and hand-stitch the opening closed.
Fold the beanie in half along the fold, and press the top and the fold.
