Cut from a jersey knit, with a raincoat fabric option for the pocket, this pattern is sized 18 months to 10 years.
For sewing this bib overall, we recommend a jersey knit.
You can make the patch pocket from raincoat fabric, main fabric, or another fabric, at your discretion.

Iron the interfacing to the wrong side of the straps and front, at the place of the buttonhole/buttons.
Fold the strap in half with the right side together and stitch its long and one short edge. Trim corners. Turn to the right side and press. (We used wide straps, cut from 4 strap pieces.)
Serge the upper raw edge of the back. Fold the upper hem 3 cm (1.2") to the wrong side and press.
Pin the straps to the upper edge and sew in place.
Pin the elastic between the straps at its short edges and sew in place using a zigzag stitch.
Sew the straps straight to the folding line of the upper hem.
Form the casing: pin the serged edge of the back upper hem and stitch, stretching the elastic a little bit.
Pin the front and front facing right sides together along the curved and upper edges. Serge. Press.
Pin the front and back together with the right sides along the outseam. Fold the front facing over the back panel and pin. Serge it all together. Press.
Pin the front and back together with the right sides along the inseam and serge. Press. Turn to the right side and press one more time.
Fold the bottom hem to 2 cm (0.79") and stitch. Press.
Topstitch the upper hem.
Mark the buttons/buttonholes place on the front and straps. Make buttonholes and sew buttons — or use snaps.
