Eight steps in two stages, from the neckline to the final press.
Place the front (1) on the back (2) face to face and stitch the shoulder seams. Iron the seam allowances onto the back.
Iron the neck band (4) lengthwise and in half with the wrong side inward.
Stitch the neck band into a ring face to face. Press the seam allowances apart.
Place the neck band face to face with the neckline of the long sleeve sweatshirt and sew it on. Fold the neck band back and press.
Sew the sleeve (3) into the open armhole, to do this, fold the sleeve cap with the armhole of the long sleeve sweatshirt face to face and stitch. Press the seam allowances onto the sleeve.
Fold the long sleeve sweatshirt face to face and stitch the sleeve and side seam with one seam. Press the seam allowances onto the back.
Press the bottom of the sleeve and the bottom of the garment to the wrong side, overcast and stitch with a double needle or on a coverstitch machine. Press.
Press the finished long sleeve sweatshirt.
