The Victoria
A romantic mini with a deep V-neckline framed by a wide, statement collar (lovely in a contrasting fabric). Puff sleeves gather into a neat cuff, and the fitted bodice meets a softly gathered skirt at a slim waistband, finished with a tie belt that ribbons at the back.
What you'll need
The Victoria is best in something soft and fluid. The dramatic collar looks especially striking when sewn in a contrasting fabric.
Light & flowy
Viscose, crepe and silk drape beautifully through the gathered skirt and puff sleeves.
Soft blends
Cotton + viscose or a soft polyester crepe give a touch more body while keeping the skirt graceful.
A contrast collar
Add half a metre of a second fabric — crisp white satin or a contrast tone — for the statement collar.
