03 — Interfacing instructions

Where to interface.

Six phrases you'll see scattered around a pattern. Each one highlights the exact area to reinforce with fusible.

a
Interface the seam allowance
Reinforce the narrow strip along the seam edge.
b
Interface the allowance
Fuse the full allowance area before sewing.
c
Interface the entrance to the pocket
Stabilise the pocket opening so it doesn't stretch.
d
Interface the lining allowance
Add fusible to the lining-side allowance only.
e
Interface the pocket opening
Same as (c) — keeps the pocket mouth crisp.
f
Interface the zipper allowance
Strengthen where the zipper tape will be sewn in.
