PATTERN DESCRIPTION

Short-length knitted trousers with elastic waistband. It features decorative vents along the bottom of the side seams.

Pattern pieces already include 0.7 cm (1/4”) seam allowances for all edges. Adjust the length of the trousers according to your height.

SEWING INSTRUCTIONS

POCKETS

1. Interface the pocket bag (4) along the cut of the pocket entrance with a strip of fusible tape.

2. Place the pocket bag (4) right sides together with the front trouser (1) and stitch.

3. Topstitch along the pocket bag. The stitching line should be at 0.2 cm (1/16”) from the stitching seam. Press the pocket bag on the wrong side.

4. Place the side piece on the pocket bag right sides together and sew it on using an overlocker and press the seam.

5. Secure the pocket along the waist and side edges. Press the finished pockets.

PANTS ASSEMBLING

1. Overlock or zigzag the seam allowances on the front (1) and back (2) trousers. Press the allowances.

2. Place the front trouser on the back trouser right sides together, align the notches and sew the side cuts on the overlocker, moving to the vent. Press the seam allowance to the front trouser. Topstitch along the vent on the front side.

3. Place the front trousers on the back trousers right sides together, align the notches and sew the inner seams on the overlocker. Press the seam allowance to the back trousers.

4. Sew the seat seam and the inner seam using an overlocker, and at the same time sew the fly. Press.

5. Topstitch along the front side of the fly.

WAISTBAND

1. Press the waistband (5) in half, inside out, stitch into a ring, and press the seam.

2. Cut the elastic band to the required length and stitch into a ring.

3. Insert the elastic in the waistband. Pin the waistband along the edge. Distribute the elastic evenly in the waistband. Press.

4. Place the waistband and pants right sides together along the waist edge, pin along the control notches and stitch the waistband in a circle using an overlocker. Press the seam allowance to the trouser side.

PANTS BOTTOM HEM

1. Press the hem of the bottom.

2. Overlock or zigzag the vent at the bottom of the hem, turn it inside out and stitch.

3. Topstitch at 0.5 cm (1/4”) along the bottom allowance of the vents.

4. Topstitch along the bottom of the pants.

5. Give the pants a final press.
