Stretchy summer panties with a curved gusset, banded leg openings, and an elasticated waistband finished with a folded waistband casing — sewn entirely on a serger.
These panties are built from a front, a back, and a curved gusset, with banded leg openings and an elasticated waistband finished with a folded casing. The whole project comes together on a serger, making it a quick, satisfying sew.
Sized from 3 to 10 years (98–140 cm height).
Stretchy fabrics work best: biflex, or a light-weight cotton lycra jersey.
Sew this pattern on a serger (overlock). No serger? A stretch or zigzag stitch on a regular machine works too. Baste pieces together before stitching to keep the top fabric from shifting.
