How to sew the Larnaca women's dress: simple and detailed instructions

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS

For sewing a dress we recommend using:

Natural fabrics: silk, cotton, linen.

Artificial: viscose, blended (viscose + silk, silk + polyester, cotton + viscose, polyester, polyester + elastane).

SUPPLIES

Main fabric;
Interfacing – 0,3 m (11,8″);
Elastic tape 2 cm wide (the length of the elastic is indicated in the pattern).

When buying fabric, keep in mind that the material can shrink, so take with a margin of 5-10%

SEWING INSTRUCTIONS

Cut out the required details.

Serge the shoulder raw edges.

Pin the Front and Back along the shoulder edges with the right sides together.

Stitch it.

Press the seam allowances open.

Serge the side raw edges. Pin the Front and Back along the side edges with the right sides together. Stitch it.

Press the seam allowances open.

Pin the Front skirt and Back skirt

details together with the right sides along the side edges. Serge it.

Press the seam allowances to the back skirt.

Serge the upper skirt’s hem.

Iron the interfacing to the neckline facing. Leave it for 15 minutes. Pin the short edges together with the right sides and serge. Press It.

Serge the bottom hem of the neckline facing. Press it.

Pin the neckline facing to the neckline with the right sides together. Sew in place. Press the seam allowances to the neckline.

Clip the seam allowances along the rounded edges 0.1 cm (0,04″) to the stitching line.

Understitch the seam allowances to the neckline facing.

Fold the sleeve in half and pin along the side edges with the right sides together. Stitch it using sewing machine. Serge the seam allowances to the back.
