For sewing the Bordeaux skirt, suitable fabrics include satin, lightweight suiting fabrics, and dress fabrics. These materials will provide the necessary drape and flow for the half-circle design.
Fabric consumption
With a fabric width of 150 cm (59,1″), you will need 105 cm (41,3″) of fabric.
The consumption is given for the shortest length.
Additionally:
- Interfacing – 15 cm (6″);
- Hidden zipper – 30 cm (12″);
- Adhesive edge, to enhance the zipper cut.
